Hi Kent and Katie,
After what has seemed ages I have finally got everything on the bike. It weighs in at just over 10Kgs which is 3kgs of the bike it is replacing! It rides so well; both stiff and responsive, but also nice and supple over the bumps. The finish on the frame is also flawless. In fact in all the best frame I have ever seen or ridden.
Many thanks and here's to many thousands of miles of happy riding.

I have the best husband in the world. On our 10th wedding anniversary, instead of getting me some useless diamond jewelry that I would seldom wear, he got me a wonderful piece of titanium jewelry that I use all the time. He surprised me with an Eriksen road bike at the site where we got married and I’ve never been so surprised in my life. I also paid my husband an apology for getting upset about all the hours he spent on the Internet searching for special components for my bike. I didn’t know what he was doing and thought he was looking at porn and I guess he was…bike porn. The bike is a dream, climbs like a beast and looks super sharp. It’s beautiful. And I also learned how good Kent and Katie are at keeping secrets.

Dear Katie, Kent, and Chad, I just wanted to drop you a quick note and tell you how much I an enjoying my bike. It has gotten many looks and double-takes on the road. The altimeter says I have done over 20,000 vertical feet in just three weeks. If you have any potential customers in my neighborhood that want to look at a bike, I would be happy to oblige.

Hi Kent, Katie, Finally got my Eriksen tour bike rolling and the snow melted enough to do a quick test ride. Its an awesome machine! So steady and solid, and fit seems really good. Still figuring our some of the adjustments and final tune, and the fenders and things. But it rolls! Thanks for all your help. Tim

WOW! Each pedal stroke just jets the bike forward. Like I have to chase it to stay on it. Sweet. You did a super job. I am REALLY really happy with this new road bike. Fabulous work on the design/ride! There is no sense of any wasted power. It is the most direct connection I've felt. Ride is sweet. The bike built up smooth and easy. No hick-ups like i've experienced with almost every other frame I've built up. Came in sub 16#s. A really great product, great people, prompt service. All good things. My experience with you on the CX bike sealed the decision on who was going to built a road frame if I did a custom. I just did that sooner than I thought. Thanks for a super ride! Anne

Kent, I got the bike built up and love it! The frame is everything I was hoping for ... it is lighter and MUCH stiffer than my other bikes and it also handles great. REALLY stable. In addition, the low-speed hands-off wobble/oscillation that has occurred on every (adult) bike I have ever owned does not happen on the frame you built. While this could always be readily stopped on other bikes (knee on the top tube), it is truly a pleasure to not to have to constantly be anticipating this sort of instability.
Also, the frame looks great ... the subtle shaping of the tubes is very nice and the welds are truly amazing. Having worked in machine shops and seen numerous people weld much easier stuff, I can't imagine how it is possible to make such smooth and uniform welds ... kudos to your welder.
I also think the seatpost is great. I was a bit skeptical about this initially as I have seen lots of seatposts that didn't hold well or are a pain to adjust but yours is truly amazing. It is absolutely perfect ... it clamps the saddle so it won't move and is so simple/easy to adjust.
Thanks again, Charles

Kent & Katie, Oh my goodness, I don't know what to say. Thank you so much. What a beauty, I took it for a spin around town, after about 15 minutes I lost count of the number of people who stopped me to admire the bike. I truly appreciate the time, effort and detail you put into my new beauty. Gregor was equally as blown away. He is looking forward to meeting you both and has promised to make the trip up with me when the handle bars come in. I think we'll have to share a bottle of champagne on me when we come up. Thanks again, you're the best!!!!!! Helene

Hi Kent,
We got the bike together and I took the it for it's maiden 46 mile voyage yesterday. All I can say is SWEEEET!!! I was worried that I had made the bike overly stiff with the oversized down tube. What I found was that it is way more stiff than my Trek 5200 - but in all the right places. It also has a ride that is softer than the Trek. How did you do that?? The BB is a lot more stiff when I get out of the saddle and hammer, but when I spin on a rough road, it's softer and smoother than my old bike. Awesome!!
It tracks really nicely, I think the head tube angle is perfect. When I let go of the bars, the bike naturally goes where I am pointing, the Trek isn't quite so sure. Leaning into turns is effortless and it really likes to go downhill, result of the stiffer BB I suppose. I cant wait to take it to the mountains and try some long, steep switchback-descents.
Everything is excellent on the bike and I couldn't be happier with the build. I would really like to stay in touch. Thanks again!!
Best Regards,
Tim M.

Dave here, from the Drake's Coffee Cyclocross team in Sylvania, Ohio. Here a few pictures of my Eriksen CX bike. I absolutely love it! The acceleration and handling are amazing. We just finished our season here in NW Ohio/SE Michigan. This incredible bike helped me achieve my best CX season ever, finishing 6th overall in a very competitive Cat 2/3/4 series in Michigan and winning the Cat 4 Master 35+ Ohio State Championship. I also traveled to compete in many of the USGP series races around the U.S. and everywhere I went I received comments about how sweet the bike looked. Thanks for a great ride. I see other Eriksen bikes in my future.

Kent and Katie, I know it's been a while since I received my frame. I wanted to get some time on it before I sent you an email. First, right out of the box, I was impressed with the quality of the welds and finish work. It's just a beautiful frame. Once I got it built and put some time on it, I have to say I'm really pleased. It weighs in at 23.5 lbs without any stupid-light parts (that may not seem super light, but it beats my current bike by more than 10 lbs!) The ride is very intuitive and my adjustment time was non-existent. I just got on and it immediately felt like a natural fit. It's responsive without being twitchy and stiff without beating me to death. The ti post almost feels like a suspension post! Very nice. After almost 10 years of riding full suspension exclusively it's refreshing to be reminded just how good a ti hartail can be. I'm selling my full suspension bike! Superb work guys! Thank you very much for a great ride. This is one bike that will be in my stable for the rest of my life. I've attached some pictures of it built up (this was after my second ride). Thanks, Jared

Dear Katie, dear Kent,
i received my Frame on Friday evening, and i spent one beautiful day in my Workingroom to get the Bike finished on Sunday for the IBC Titanium Meeting....
Your Frame was one of the most pictured! The "paparazis" was really speechless about this Bike!
The followed Ride over the swiss Hills was a pleasure for me. Exactly that what i prefer...a great Climber, stoic at fast descents, and lively in Singletrails....whauuuu..you've done magic...
The Frame is a work of Art!

Kent,
I've been meaning to write you an email for a while now, but time has flown by as it always does when there is so much riding to do.
I don't know where to start, other than to say that you've quite possibly built the perfect 5" travel rig. Despite its size it handles with precision, descends like demon, and climbs so fast I can almost keep up with my dog. I've probably put in 150+ hrs ride time this summer and it looks as beautiful as the day I picked it up back in May. I roll over obstacles that used to nearly send me over the bars, make hairpin corners with ease that once proved elusive, and even the most technical trails feel like carpet now. The DUC32 and the Ventana rear leave the bike with no noticeable flex whatsoever and give me the utmost confidence regardless of terrain. Even at 28.5 lbs I climb faster than I ever did on my old 24 lb 26" Truth. 26" was the wrong platform and I've retired from it forever. You are a master at your craft and should be damn proud of creating the finest handbuilt bicycles out there.
Chris P.S. Tell Chad he did a superb job on the build kit.

he bike is simply perfect! Everything works great, I enjoy every single ride only wondering why I hadn´t switched to bigger wheels much earlier. I used to be riding full suspension Cannondales (Jekyll, Scalpel and Prophet) in the past . They were good but they are hardly comparable with Eriksen. Combination of titanium frame with bigger wheels gives to the rear end of the bike similar feel like Scalpel had but transmission of the power is more effective because it´s hardtail. I love the bike looking forward to my first race! Hope you are both fine. Thanks again for your patience. In case I want another bike in the future I know where to make an order. The bike’s power transfer is very efficient. The combination of the lighter weight, frame stiffness, and smaller rear cog made a huge difference. The frame really looks great. Cheetah quick too. The other riders knew they were in trouble when I could grab the bike with one hand and lift the bike over my heady in one easy swoop. All in all…a really nice job. I am really going to enjoy this. (I just need to tell my other 29er it’s being demoted.) Thanks again. Joe

Hi Kent & Katie,
Yesterday was my maiden voyage on my eriksen bike. The bike performed flawlessly. The ride is extremely tight and responsive. It handles better than my Seven Ti single speed. I really enjoy the size of the downtube. The bike drew lots of attention because of the decals, pink hubs and red Marta sl brakes.
Thanks for a beautiful frame!

24 hours of Moab came and went. Many laughs, good times, and red dust everywhere...got a few photos of the bike, I've been loving the ride and it was a butt-saver in the Moab rocky terrain. She's quite the looker and turns heads. A Belgium journalist in Moab stopped by our camp to admire and take some photos. Maurice, from Dirt Rag, also snapped a few pics.
